SICKLE CELL PATIENTS IN THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

1. When caring for patients with Sickle Cell Disease in the Emergency Department, please contact the Sickle Cell Attending for continuity of care/pain concerns and questions (Pager #5342)
2. For patients with Sickle Cell Disease who present to the Emergency Department with Acute Hematologic issues i.e. concern for Acute Chest Syndrome, Stroke/Thrombosis, Splenic Sequestration, etc, admitting team to page Hematology Consult (Pager #3988)
