Bobby Nicholson, PGY-3
704-756-5966 | robbert.nicholson@atriumhealth.org Born on Long Island, NY Bobby Nicholson actually grew up in Charlotte, NC. He spent a lot of time playing sports growing up, mostly baseball, and thought that he would go into medicine to do Orthopedics. Bobby attended UNC-Chapel Hill for undergraduate education and am a die-hard TarHeel fan. It was there that he had his first exposure to the Emergency Department. From Chapel Hill, he went to Virginia-Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He pursued research in Orthopedics and Emergency Medicine and was actually president of both interest groups. He ultimately chose to pursue a career in Emergency Medicine and was fortunate enough to match to Carolinas Medical Center. Having spent many hours shadowing in the operating room and emergency department during medical school and struggling to choose my eventual career path, he became interested in medical mentorship and education. Other areas of interest in Emergency Medicine include trauma resuscitation, emergency airway management, and cardiovascular emergencies. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Kona and his partner, Caitlin. When he is not hanging out with them, he can usually be found lifting weights, hiking, drinking craft beer, or attempting to surf more waves than he falls off of at Folly Beach. |
