Emergency Medical Services Fellowship
Leadership:    S. Tyler Constantine, MD, Fellowship Director

Accomplishments:
  • ACGME accredited in 2013
  • 100% ABEM subspecialty exam pass rate
  • Previous fellow the recipient of the NAEMSP/PhysioControl EMS Fellow Award
 

Medical Toxicology Fellowship
Leadership:    Christine Murphy, MD, Fellowship Director; Anna Dulaney, PharmD, Associate Fellowship Director

Accomplishments:
  • ACGME accredited
  • Recent fellows have been awarded the Emergency Medicine Foundation-Medical Toxicology Foundation Toxicology Research Award (2017), John Marx Foundation Grant (2019), and Medical Toxicology Foundation Innovative Research and Teaching Award (2020)
 

Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
Leadership:    Christyn Magill, MD, Fellowship Director; Amy Puchalski, Associate Program Director               

Accomplishments:
  • ACGME accredited
  • Hosted the 2015 National Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow Conference
  • Fellows routinely present at the Pediatric Academic Societies Annual Meeting and Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Annual Meeting
  • Fellows from both Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine residencies
 

Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship
Leadership:    Denise Fraga, MD, Fellowship Director

Accomplishments:
  • ACEP Clinical Ultrasound Accredited
  • Fellowship founded in 2005
  • Emergency Ultrasound National Leadership since 1996
  • Leaders of POCUS program at Atrium Health - CMC Main
 

Operation and Disaster Medicine Fellowship
Leadership:    David Callaway, MD, Fellowship Director
 
Accomplishments:
  • Medical team lead for the Disaster Response effort with Team Rubicon in the Bahamas following Hurricane Dorian
  • Provide medical training and support for CMPD Tactical Medics
  • Continued to instruct and teach the local and surrounding county about Stop the Bleed
  • 2019-2020 fellow was Team Lead for the Atrium COVID-19 Surge and Triage portion of the pandemic response
  • Previous Operational and Disaster Medicine fellows, Drs. John Roberts and Danny Thomas, spent several weeks in 2016 supporting primary medical care at a clinic in Northern Greece to help alleviate suffering and prevent further injury to Syrian and Iraqi refugees.
 

Global Emergency Medicine Fellowship
Leadership:    Adeline Dozois, MD, Fellowship Director; Michael Runyon, MD, Assistant Fellowship Director 
                       
Accomplishments:
  • Beginning in 2018, this one-year fellowship capitalizes on our Department’s long-standing relationship with Muhimbili National Hospital and the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Fellowship is designed to empower the fellow to expand their global health knowledge and skills, lead emergency care capacity building projects in Tanzania, drive global EM research, and contribute to global health education here at CMC.
  • SAEM Verified Fellowship 2018
  • First fellow graduated 2019
  • Multiple projects resulting in manuscripts and presentations at four national and international meetings
