What is it?
- Only the third ACGME-accredited program in the country, the HALM fellowship at CMC is designed to train future physician leaders to assume significant medical director responsibilities at the time of graduation.
- Two-year program (one year if already have MHA or MBA) for physicians right after residency.
Program Specifics
- 0.5 clinical as attending in own specialty, 0.5 administrative time
- Pay at PGY+1 salary (next year higher after last year of residency)
- Completion of Wake Forest MHA program (tuition covered by fellowship)

- First year focused at facility level (CMC/Mercy/LCH)
- Second year at larger service lines and enterprise level
- One fellow per year selected.
- Open only to residents currently in a GME program at CMC

- One page (approximately 500 words) personal statement of why you are interested in the program.
- Letter of Recommendation from your current residency program director and 1-2 additional faculty (3 letters max)
- Interviews will occur in August/September with final decisions by October 1, 2024.
- Fellowship starts July 1, 2025.
